Cervical Smears Clinics

The Nurse in the Cervical Smear Clinic carries out routine smears by appointment.  Letter will invite patients when their smear is due.   

Asthma Clinics

It is important to have regular check ups to help maintain good control of asthma.  Our specialist clinics are ran by our Practice Nurses and held Thursday 4.00pm to 5.30pm by appointment and Friday 10.00am to 11.00 by appointment.  To make an appointment please contact the Surgery and ask for an appointment to attend the Nurse Review Clinic.  

Diabetic Clinics

Ran by Dr Sidat, Practice Nurses, dietician and podiatrist on Wednesday mornings by appointment.  Patients will be invited to attend by letter. 

Smoking Cessation Clinic

The Practice tries to encourage all smokers to quit.  The Practice runs and in-house Smoking Cessation Clinic for one to one appointments.   

Child Immunisation Clinic

We strongly recommend that al children should be immunised against the serious and preventable infectious diseases of whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria, polio, measles, mumps and German measles.  All children will be called for immunisation through the computer system run by the Bolton Primary Care Trust.  Clinics are held Thursday mornings.  If this is not convenient, children can be seen at any other Practice Nurse surgery by appointment.  

Counsellor

We have two in-house counsellors: Lilia Fairclough Dip Couns and Lata Patel Dip Couns. Referral by GP is required.  

Phlebotomy (Blood Tests) 

The Practice has a phlebotomist who will carry our routine blood tests as requested by the GPs, and Nurse Practitioner.  Available in the mornings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday by appointment.   

Haematology Clinic (Blood Tests)

Held on Friday mornings by appointment only with one of the Practice Nurses. 

Child Health Surveillance and Well Baby Clinics

The Practice provides CHS services in conjunction with the Health Visitor.  If you have any worried regarding your child’s development, please speak to the GP during a normal appointment or contact the Health Visitor during her Clinic.  These Clinics are held every Thursday afternoon between 2.00pm and 3.30pm.  No appointment necessary. 

Medical Examinations

The GPs are happy to undertake private medical examinations on behalf of insurance companies, HGV, PSV, pre-employment etc.  These are carried out after normal GP Clinics have finished.  You will need to ask the Receptionist to make an appointment to see the doctor of your choice for this private medical examination.  Please note a charge is made for these services, a list of fees is available in reception.  Please do not hesitate to ask should you have any queries.
